Autumn willow

I often feel uneasy in this park.
Because a lot of joggers and walkers' glances at me are not friendly.
Smokers' mental peace is rarely secured in these days.

Bridge town

Kosuge is a typical downtown in Tokyo. On the diverging point of Arakawa River and Ayase River, so many bridges are characteristic of this town. It is also famous with the location of a jail in which prime minister Tanaka was imprisoned in 1976.

Moss-grown guardian

In front of any Shinto shrine in Japan, a couple of lion guardian are common.
Those stone-carved statues are believed to protect against evil spirits' intrusion into the holy place.

Not a very bad week

After coming back from Canada on Wednesday, my daily life has restored routine at once. On my case, "routine" means very short sleeping time, a lot of writing obligations and photographing at least two pictures a day for two mail magazines being released everyday.
On Saturday, I visited an editing manager of one of a major weekly magazine and gave a CD in which 102 pictures shot in Canada to him. Although it is not sure whether some of my pictures appear on the magazine, his appraisal to my work was not very bad. It means if those pictures ended up into a dustbin, he would ask another mission some day soon. Not a very bad week, wasn't it?

Don't be allured

Last night in Tokyo, I missed a last train to take me back home. There were two options available for me. One, pay more than $100 taxi fare, two, walk. Finally it took 6 hours and a half to cover whole 25km. Walking itself was fun but to overcome those seductions were extremely hard.

Salute!

I was invited to the Memorial Ceremony of JPN Defensive Army's foundation. At the end of the ceremony cheerleaders, who were soldiers of course, good-byed guests by saluting.

Two ghosts

No time for taking pictures today because I had to develop more than 300 RAW pics taken in Canada.
Above is a double exposed image. By using flashlight, you can take various funny pics like this.

At the airport

This was the only one picture taken on Wednesday because no one can activate any digital equipments on the plane.
Also 16 hours have vanished because of time difference between BC and Japan.
